Alaska Summit: No Breakthrough as Putin Secures Symbolic Victory Over Trump

But after like three hours of talking, they came out saying they made progress without actually saying what that progress was.

No surprise, nothing concrete got done. Trump kept talking about wanting a ceasefire, but that clearly wasn't happening. Instead, he kinda shifted the blame to Ukraine's president, saying it was on him to "make a deal." Typical political stuff where everyone walks away without really solving anything.

Kind of a weird way to wrap up what was supposed to be this big, flashy meeting. But hey, at least it put Putin back in the mix diplomatically, even if nobody really knows what went down behind closed doors.

All the formal stuff and fancy settings couldn’t hide the obvious, though. From the second they sat down, it was clear Trump had his work cut out for him.
